Dear Anonymous, I'm having a hard time seeing the "horrible" CA that you see. I do see a small amount around the edges of the white figures in the image, but it is so slight that it is easily correctable in software.

This is my first time using Canon's
24-105 lens, so I'll be sure to keep an eye out for it. But I do believe you are over exaggerating, at least on these images.

horrible chromatic aberration on those pictures. Canon makes nice cameras but their lens are junk because of those problems. The first two photos on this page are not usable except in 300x300 pixel size.

Oh I am so jealous! That camera is amazing. I can't believe the quality at such a high ISO. Gorgeous temple pics too. WOW!!! You may convince me to switch to Canon now! Maybe, we'll see how Nikon reacts to this baby. Let the games continue!

Excellent. Funny, I ordered from Adorama as well and then later on signed up to be notified at Pictureline since they're local (I had no idea how demand for this camera was going to be). Word has it that Pictureline had about 50 bodies in, so I guess it paid for you to sign up first thing, eh? I'm still waiting ;)

Looking forward to more images from and impressions about your new Mark II!

I contacted both Pictureline and Adorama on September 18th. Pictureline didn't ask for a credit card, but of course Adorama did. And I truly thought that Adorama would have their stock first. Instead, Adorama isn't even scheduled to get their cameras until Monday of next week! So when Pictureline told me they had theirs already I was completely dumbfounded. Since I called on 9/18 they had one reserved in my name so I ran over and picked it up. :)

I've got to ask... how quickly did you get in line...
