Brazilian Formals at Joseph Smith Building and Salt Lake Temple

I love my Brazilian friends. Even while living here in Utah, I seem to have an ever growing fan base in Brazil and have had quite a few customers come up from Brazil requesting photo shoots with me.

Mike and Desiree were married in Brazil and had their wedding pictures done there, however she contacted me and asked if I could do some pictures of the two of them- especially pictures of her in her wedding dress.   So she brought her wedding dress all the way up from Brazil just for a photo shoot. I love her dress and veil. Simply beautiful!

We did the pictures outside the Salt Lake Temple and inside the Joseph Smith Building, which is right next door to the temple. These are some of my favorite pictures from that photo session.

Carissa's Bridals at JSMB and Memory Grove

It is with great honor that I was able to shoot Carissa's wedding.  Not only is she stunning, but we are actually somewhat related (she is the daughter of my wife's cousin - whatever that works out to be).  I absolutely loved her bridal pictures. We shot some of them at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building (JSMB) down by the Salt Lake Temple, and the rest we shot outside at Memory Grove which is just down the hill from the Utah State Capitol Building. I'll share her wedding pictures later, but for now, check these out!

Congratulations Emily and Garrett!

This past weekend I got to spend two days with Emily and Garrett. They were married at the Salt Lake Temple on May 13th and had their reception at Le Chateau in Provo on the 14th.

Friday was amazingly calm at the Salt Lake Temple. I suppose being "Friday the 13th" scared off quite a few people. Just one week prior, they had 33 weddings on Friday the 6th, but on the 13th there were only 17. The Salt Lake Temple is so popular that in the summer there are usually 80-100 weddings per day. But Emily and Garrett were loving the serenity and the time that it allowed us to get pictures of them and the whole family.

Marco Greis was assisting me both as a 2nd shooter as well as helping out with lighting at the wedding.

I didn't get a chance to share these before, but we did Emily and Garrett's "Formals Session" just a few weeks prior to the wedding at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and later we moved on to nearby Memory Grove Park. These are a few of my favorites from that session:









The timing was just right at Memory Grove Park. The blossoms were out this week and by the next week they were gone!
