I belong to a photography club here in Utah called Photowalking Utah. They had scheduled a Photowalk for the Great Salt Lake for June and I asked Heidi if she would be interested in modeling in front of some 20+ photographers instead of just me. To my surprise, even the thought of 20+ photographers didn't seem to scare her. She went for it. We all showed up and had a great time (in spite of the loss of a couple of cell phones and a flash).
NOTE: Trash the Dress is an idea going around the internet. It's not so much about trashing (ruining) the dress, as it is about USING the dress in ways you wouldn't dream of using it before "the big day". Having spent a fortune on a wedding dress, why use it just once? Why not get some stunning pictures out of it by going places you never would have gone, by doing things you never would have done, while wearing that lovely dress?

Very cool pictures. The "trash the dress" concept however would be a lot more impressive with a more expensive looking dress. That's what makes trashing the dress look so great, is that it's something that you are so shocked someone would do.
I suppose that's one way to look at it. Actually, it seems to me that any wedding dress would do ... as long as it's YOUR wedding dress.
I've talked to quite a few gals about it ... some are horrified at the thought. They could never do that to there dress. And money never seems to be the reason. It's just that the dress is almost "sacred".
Others ... seem eager to just jump right in. I hope to do more of these kinds of shoots. (and next time with a lot fewer photographers there to "get in the way")
Hey David! It looks like you had alot of fun and she is pretty brave to get in that lake! I think I saw your group there that same day! I was doing an engagement session! If I had known it was you I would have come said hello. See you at the convention!
