Real Salt Lake (RSL) vs Red Bulls in the new Rio Tinto Stadium

Thursday I had the awesome opportunity of shooting the Real Salt Lake (RSL) vs Red Bulls game in the brand new Rio Tinto Stadium, courtesy of Xango.

The game was tense with the Red Bulls taking the first goal, but Real tied things up nicely before the first half was over. The game ended in a draw, but it wasn't without it's moments. From a romantic marriage proposal on-field during the half, to a red card given to the Red Bulls' Juan Pietravello at the 83rd minute, to a firing over time play that ended in a draw. It was cold but it was exciting and I was happy to be there to see it up close.

More pictures from the game are available here on my website.

I am truely impressed with your pictures. You are an incredible photographer. I hope one day to be that good. I love how you put your logo/copyright on every picture. That is a great idea. I just got Photoshop CS4 and Lightroom 2. I am so clueless on it but I guess that is what the instruction videos are for!! So much to learn and so little time with 3 kids. Talk to you soon.

LOVE these photos! What a night to capture! You did a fantastic job capturing it all in still images. I feel like I was there just looking at the several you posted. I think this soccer thing is going to explode here in SLC.
